01 · Status and scope
This is not the final booking agreement.
These draft terms describe the confirmed information and current behavior of the Rainbow Runner Fishing Charters website. They are retained for pre-launch review and are excluded from search indexing.
The final operating entity, legal notice address, cancellation and refund policy, payment workflow, waiver process, and governing terms have not been supplied. Those items must be completed and approved before this page is treated as production legal copy.
Current boundary: using the local preview availability form does not create a reservation, transmit a request to a booking system, or collect a payment.
02 · Website information
Use of the website.
The website provides general information about Captain Armelio Cabatingan, Rainbow Runner, charter options, documented catches and tournament history, and fishing from Maui’s North Shore.
Historical catches and tournament results are records of past events. They are not promises about a future charter. Regulatory information may change; visitors should follow the linked official Hawaiʻi DLNR guidance and confirm current requirements before fishing.
03 · Charter summary
The current confirmed offer.
Rainbow Runner offers a private eight-hour charter for one person, one family, or one group of friends departing from Kahului Harbor. Fishing is the primary purpose of the charter. Deep-sea fishing, shallow-water fishing, whale watching, or sightseeing may be considered according to guest interests, conditions, and Captain Armelio’s decisions.
The current site recommends a youngest guest age of 12 and strongly recommends that guests age 17 and younger wear life jackets at all times.
04 · Availability and booking
An inquiry is not a confirmed trip.
The availability page asks for preferred dates, party size, fishing interests, contact information, and optional practical notes. Rainbow Runner’s source material states that the business will call within 24 hours to confirm availability and trip details.
A date is not confirmed merely because an inquiry is submitted. Final production terms must state exactly when a booking becomes binding and what information or payment completes that booking.
05 · Price and payment
Published working price.
The current approved base price is $1,300 before tax: a $200 deposit and a $1,100 balance due at departure. The listed base price excludes the source site’s stated 3% harbor tax and 4.166% Hawaiʻi GET.
No final tax calculation is displayed because the payment implementation has not defined how taxes apply to the deposit and balance. The current local preview does not collect a deposit, card information, or any other payment.
06 · Conditions and decisions
The captain decides whether and how the boat operates.
Weather, wind, swell, current, and other conditions shape the trip. Captain Armelio makes the final trip, route, fishing-method, and rescheduling decisions. Existing source guidance notes that trips are unlikely when North Shore winds rise above 20 mph, but no single number replaces the captain’s judgment.
Exact mechanical, weather, early-return, or alternate-harbor terms must be supplied before launch.
07 · Fishing outcomes and catch
No catch or species is guaranteed.
Guests may discuss a target species or preferred method before the charter. Captain Armelio makes the final decisions based on conditions and what is realistically possible on the water.
Captain Armelio also makes final decisions about the catch, cleaning, and take-home fish. He will usually clean a reasonable amount for guests to take to their accommodations and can provide information about mounting a large fish.
08 · Guest responsibilities
Prepare for a full day on working water.
- Provide accurate party, contact, and practical information during booking.
- Review current fishing-license requirements before the trip.
- Bring food, snacks, bottled water, and other nonalcoholic drinks.
- Wear practical clothing and rubber-soled shoes suitable for changing conditions.
- Follow Captain Armelio’s safety and operating instructions aboard Rainbow Runner.
- Do not bring alcohol.
Fishing tackle is supplied, although guests may bring personal tackle.
09 · Cancellations and refunds
Final policy is still required.
The source material does not supply complete customer-cancellation, refund, late-arrival, no-show, mechanical, or early-return terms. This draft does not invent them.
Before launch, this section must state the exact cancellation and refund rules presented to a guest before any deposit is paid.
10 · Links and site content
External sources and site material.
The site links to official government guidance, independent reporting, videos, and owner-controlled fishing archives. Rainbow Runner does not control the availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
Website text, branding, and owner-supplied photography may not be republished as though another business created or owns them. Final ownership and permitted-use wording should be reviewed with the legal operating entity before launch.
